Single Source Procurement

PHSC has reason to believe that the commodities or contractual services described below are available only from a single source. The information posted will remain posted for a period of at least seven (7) business days from the listed “posted date.”

Prospective vendors/contractors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply the commodities or contractual services described no later than the listed “close date” by sending an email to purchasing@phsc.edu referencing the “Identifier” number provided for the specific procurement.

No single source commodities or contractual services at this time.

The PHSC Engineering lab is purchasing equipment to ensure our labs meet industry standards. The following is a list of equipment that we want to purchase for our Engineering lab expansion to the Manufacturing Lab in Hernando County located at the Wilton Simpson Technical College:

  • Instrumentation and Process Control Trainer allows students to perform hands-on experiments in Pressure, flow, and level applications. The system’s unique design allows rapid conversion between Pressure, Flow, and level experiments by adjusting the position of valves. All devices are pre-wired to terminal strips allowing for quick circuit modification. Activities in loop wiring, transmitter setup, and lop tuning of PID parameters provide a thorough understanding of Process Control.
  • Pneumatic trainer is a didactic equipment comprised of a panel with pneumatic and/or electro-pneumatic components depending on the option selected. The panel is printed with standardized symbols of each of the components for easy identification. Furthermore, both the pneumatic and electro-pneumatic components come with rapid connections to speed up the practical exercises undertaken with the equipment. The Pneumatic trainer also includes the necessary complements such as pneumatic tubing, tube cutter, tube extractor, fitting plugs, connection cables and mains plug. Its interchangeable accessories allow the user to start up examples of real applications using these technologies.
  • Industrial control trainer for wiring and troubleshooting control circuits. The system gives access to devices allowing students to connect all circuit components directly or via terminal blocks.
  • Handling Systems Trainers is a series that consists of seven independent and different training systems. Each system performs a simple assembly process by reproducing subsets of more complex processes found in the industry and can incorporate the trouble-shooting simulation system. Three different versions are without PLC, with PLC, and with an assembly kit with parts. In addition to the practical activities normally available, the student can carry out assembly and equipment adjustment as well as pneumatic and electrical wiring. The assembly instructions and drawings provided in the documentation guide the student through the building and wiring tasks.
  • Hydro model for training hydraulics and electro-hydraulics. The parts are made up of a transparent methacrylate body with internal industrial metal parts. Using this system, it is possible to see inside the components as they operate, become familiar with them, and understand how they work. The hoses, as well as the different devices, are connected to each other with a system of quick-fit self-sealing connectors. This system guarantees a maximum level of fluid integrity with zero leakage, even during connection/disconnection operations.
  •  Robot Application training system to provide a hardware platform for performing hands-on development for robotic operations. The mobile platform includes various applications that can be quickly installed to provide advanced activities, expanding the learning objectives beyond simple pick-and-place functions.
  • Mechanical training system to provide training on mechanical shaft alignment, pulley alignment, belt installation, sprocket alignment practices and speed ratios.
